Rocktober

October is rocking at our house this year as usual. We're gearing up for tons of fun here. First week we have Caitibug's fifth birthday party. It's going to be a fun costume party this year, and I'm really excited about it. So excited in fact that we've even got the doll and the dog costumes to wear that match her costume. We're going to have some great treat bags with monster parachute men, doggy tattoos, plastic dracula fangs. And the best part will be the sugar-free allergy friendly cupcakes with the skull and crossbow toppers. I am going to do a fondant on top with a black frosting around the edges and the skulls in the middle. We have about 46 people invited total, and I believe we'll have a total of about 35 once things get going. So it will be a big full house. Hubby will be the motorcycle guy from the Village People, and I'm planning on being a Starbuck's Barista for it. How funny will that be?? I'm really excited. It should be a hoot for sure. Having an October birthday really is the best. And I'm glad I'll be sharing with my girl forever. We really are the October Divas for sure!!

After the party, the next weekend we'll be in Seattle for a fun Festive Reception at the Lucky Strike in Bellevue. When we come home we'll be off to Southern California to enjoy a big 5 birthday celebration. For Caitibug's birthday we're first heading to Carlsbad to one of our favorite hotels. Then it's off to fun at Sea World, including of course the best part, trick or treating at Sea World. You have to love that. Then it's off to the American Girl Store in The Grove for her birthday and we'll be having a lunch with her doll, and then doing a little shopping as well. I'm really excited for this entire month.

When we come back we'll have one week to recover, and then it's Halloween. On Halloween we go to my other bestie's house to have some yummy homemade and organic chicken noodle soup with homemade hot cider. Then we take the girls out trick or treating and the guys remain to hand out candy and drink a few brews of their own. Perfect ending to a perfect month!!
