Family Photo - 2010

Image
Family photo day came and went - and it was loads of fun. Caitibug had a blast getting pictures taken with Grandma and Grandpa - of course. And having some fun time with uncles and her very special Aunt wasn't bad either.  Merry Christmas to all and to all a great new year !~

Fun little mommy

Caitibug has been playing mommy - which is really funny. Yesterday she had two babies come out of her belly - one had a cut on it's head like Aunt Suzi (who's was actually on her rear) and a mark. I asked her if it was a birthmark - she was a bit confused because she didn't know what that was. She is quite the good little mommy, however - and it's cute to watch her play house. She put them into bed last night and turned on their lullaby music. Now that's love.

Don't know what I've been up to... or do I

Okay - I admit it. I've been on Facebook...lol... that is how it goes. I did add a Facebook badge so that you can stay up to date with my goings on via Facebook when I'm being a slacker here. So sorry.. I have however been doing a lot. I started a new blog @ http://www.EatFreshInTheCity.com. I am really passionate about food, and health. And this has been a great outlet for me to have. I also added a Eat Fresh In The City page on Facebook - so you should go join it. I think I have a lot of interesting facts, great recipes and just overall health to share. Also - I'm gearing up for some big things in my professional life. I have some great ideas, and hopefully it will all come together and in a few months you'll be seeing the results of it all. It's going to be FRESH for sure. Right?? Caitlin, started school this year at The Newcastle School and is loving it. She really enjoys her new friends, and especially loves the music and the play time. She already has t

Rocktober

October is rocking at our house this year as usual. We're gearing up for tons of fun here. First week we have Caitibug's fifth birthday party. It's going to be a fun costume party this year, and I'm really excited about it. So excited in fact that we've even got the doll and the dog costumes to wear that match her costume. We're going to have some great treat bags with monster parachute men, doggy tattoos, plastic dracula fangs. And the best part will be the sugar-free allergy friendly cupcakes with the skull and crossbow toppers. I am going to do a fondant on top with a black frosting around the edges and the skulls in the middle. We have about 46 people invited total, and I believe we'll have a total of about 35 once things get going. So it will be a big full house. Hubby will be the motorcycle guy from the Village People, and I'm planning on being a Starbuck's Barista for it. How funny will that be?? I'm really excited. It should be a hoot for

We had a fun, fun time for the neighborhood party. This is the fifth year. The first year I was pregnant with Caitibug, and so she's technically been at every one. I did get to put a new little baby to sleep last night - cutest little girl. She was so fun to hold. I had to steal her away from Jenn, however. She is a doll!!!  Before the party we had a fun dinner at Jenn's house. Just the girls. The boys were working hard in programming land. Paul got home right before the party was over. Michelle asked him where his streamers on his bicycle were (Suzuki Boulevard). That was very funny. We had the usual bike parade and it was Caitibug's first on a real bike. No tricycle here this year. She kicked my butt around the neighborhood - she's a fast little rider. Who knew?? She of course had the best time with her friends. Yes we have had a lot of fun. We also had weekend birthday party fun at Jenn's so it's been a full extended weekend. We've been doing T

The things we do for love

So a few weeks ago I went out and tore up my mom's carpet. And then that Saturday we proceeded to cover up these beautiful hardwood floors with carpet again - and blue carpet. Even worse. Now since then I've painted most of the room and this weekend I'll finish that. We did a sort of minty green on the walls and it actually doesn't clash with the blue. Surprising. And the new furniture will come the following Saturday on the 26th. That is going to be great for my mom. She deserves it. On another note I really wanted to say to someone yesterday - "You get what you get and you don't throw a fit!" Unfortunately that doesn't work as well with adults as it does with children so I just kept it to myself. I think we live in a society where entitlement has just gone a bit too far. Get over yourselves and start to take responsibility and learn some accountability. Right???

Welcome Spring

We are finally get some great rain. I went out jogging/walking this morning and it was fantastic! I miss Seattle. I wish I could pack up us and the Hansen's and just move there. I'd have a whole lot more fun with this jogging stuff there than here. Caitibug is gearing up for her gymnastic performance in a week. We have one last week of practice and then next week is the show. I'm so excited for her. We're going to do summer gymnastics as well along with swimming lessons. I also would love to fit in some tennis lessons near the end - but am I just being a crazy mom??? maybe... we all know I'm crazy. We went a few weeks ago to the zoo. First with her friend and then another day with her daddy. That was THE BEST day. Perfect weather and I think daddy and Caitibug had the best time ever. She's really become quite the daddy's girl these days. We also went to the Splash Pad the other day. That wasn't bad either. Clear skies and a little heat which was p

The zoo

On Monday Caitibug and I went to the zoo with the neighbors. What a fun time. Those two girls are just too cute. I can hardly believe that she is almost five years old. How did that happen. I remember when Jami was five. Boy was she cute! What happened...just kidding, Jami!! You are still the KatVon Cutest! Right? Well ... I am not sure where we are heading but at least we are together.
