Feeling better

I've gotten over my agitation from yesterday. It helps to have cute kids bring you presents... including my favorite chocolates! I love it. I am so in love with the blessings in my life. I have to learn to overlook the things that trap me into negativity. I have to learn to look beyond. I have to learn to just give to my life path and if those around me aren't assisting that I need to move on. Live, Love and Laughing to be who you were always meant to be.

The latest and the not so greatest.

On Monday Caitlibug and the kids did a wonderful Rudolph rendition in English and Danish. It was just so much fun. I loved it and loved the fun we had together. I do love prek no matter how much it takes out of me on some days. I wish I wish I wish.... I don't know if any of my wishes are being listened to because I think my daughter wanted snow and we did get it. Well.. again my lovely sib has proven to be an asshat. Would you request your sons drive in the blizzard to get to your house for their birthday, or would you say... hey let's meet up another day when the weather is better? ASSHAT! Really I can say no more than that. I don't understand it and I don't care to.  So not really nice to say, but I just really do  ♥ those boys and think that it's about time they came first. For once in life don't you think your "selfish just like your dad ways" should take a break at some point in your life? Jackass.   Well I guess that is what you get wi

Grammy and the time warp

Caitibug was super thrilled to see her Grandma this morning. And lucky bug, she'll get to see her again tonight. Sometimes conferences are a good thing! Well, the power went off yesterday afternoon. I reset the two clocks in the kitchen and then later that night I asked Paul what time it was to reset the bedroom clock. The time he gave me came from one of the clocks in the living room that had not been reset yet. Add on top of that the fact that I didn't turn on the alarm button - oopsey - that was not a good thing. So I get up - the clock says ten to six. I think hooray. I have ten minutes before my ride to the gym is here. I get dressed and zip downstairs to a clock in the kitchen that says I'm thirty minutes late. So I had to go clean off a snow covered car at 6:30am to go to the gym to work out alone. What a sorry morning for sure. Well... things to do today so I had better go. TA

The Little Artist

Image
Caitibug is such a blooming artist. While on vaca for her birthday she created the following: It's a self portrait just in case you couldn't tell... but it does look just like her. We had a great birthday vaca btw. It was so much needed. Mom went with us and that was incredible. We had a great lunch at Woody's and I had some wonderful wine. Love the Riesling. We had a great day at the beach, a great birthday celebration at Disneyland and loads of fun along the way in both California and Las Vegas. It's amazing what some downtime can do for a person. And watching my daughter with my mom was so well worth it. It was another one of those fantastic memorable vacations and I think ever October deserves a good vacation for the birthday girls!

Christmas

Just ordered the Grandma's presents!!! Hooray. We have three more gifts to get and then we are done. It's about time.

Family togetherness

I feel bad about the family dinner being changed due to our family "lack of funds". But I do think that people understand that we're not making what we used to, and that those of us that live in the pay-as-you-go world have to make the payments. Right?? Anyway, Caitlin made a beautiful picture today - I think that she carries some of those artistic genes from my mom. It's really pretty mature for her age group. Totally blew away the other pre-K pictures made today. Speaking of pre-K ... I have issues. Every since I had some "momzilla" get crazy at me, I keep expecting some other shoe to drop. Her son broke both of Caitlin's golf clubs, and I want to believe that she's going to get mad that I let him break them or some odd thing like that. Is it worth it??? I have to wonder. But he is the one that is the closest to Caitlin's education level so I feel like I need him to keep her advancing the way I want her to. And, thank goodness, October is a

Trains, planes and automobiles

Caitibug got an early birthday present from Grandma Carol today. Jenn had given her a nice little train table, and Grandma bought her a brand new fun train set. What a great grandma! Caitibug has been playing with it all day long. In fact the first things she said this morning was, "It's morning time mommy, we need to go get my train!". SO -- it's all about the trainset today, tomorrow, the next day... what a spoiled girl. She also got a present for her friend, Josh, yesterday. Of course she got him a great Playmobile toy, and can you guess?? Pirates. That was a surprise, right? On a separate note, Jesse the Fly followed us everywhere yesterday. To Grandma's, to Target, even in our car on the way home. That darn Jesse the Fly...

What is with this morning?

So Paul has gone off to the basement with his grumpy little self, Caitlin is watching Mickey Mouse and I am blogging which seemed to irritate him. I think the real irritation was that I had a Starbuck's and he didn't. Well, I had the two dollars saved, and I went to the gym today so I treated myself. Na, na, na, na, naaaa.... as my daughter would say. Yesterday Caitibug continued with her hide and go seek of items, this time it was the glasses. We tore the house apart to find them. I even took her to the car and told her that I was going to take her to the hospital and have her glasses surgically attached to her head if she didn't show me where they were... not the best parenting I've done but I was getting crazy at this point. Finally she took me into her play room and said they were in there, but since daddy cleaned it up she didn't know where they were. I finally found them hidden in the bumper pad. And then of course I found my missing keys as well. They had b

Surround yourself with love

Image
How I want my daughter to remember me. Happy and enjoying the saying, "Surround yourself by the things you love." And I do surround myself with these things. I even, in fact, sometimes would like to wrap them up and take them far away to just concentrate on them. Just them... no distractions. I love my family!

Preschool

Today was our first day of preschool, the playdate. Caitlin had so much fun with her friends. It was a great day. Then we went to singing class, our last day. She refused to use the "props" because she was a horse and of course horses don't have hands. (ROFLMAO) What an imagination. We are now home, and of course per usual she is immediately naked. Nudist on the horizon.

The new Webby

Caitibug thinks that the webcam is really funny. What a cute little bug she is.

Caitibug at the gym

So this morning after my great workout I left my expensive stainless nonBPA water bottle at the gym. So I sprint through the shower, dress myself and Caitibug and run back to the gym. My daughter proceeds to have a great conversation with one of my favorite guys, Aaron, about Jesse the fly. For those of you who do not know, two years ago Caitibug started talking to the fly on our wall. I came to find out that his name was Jesse. Now it is amazing that Jesse goes everywhere with us. Just about anywhere we go, we end up seeing Jesse there. So Jesse followed us to the gym, and Caitibug had to show him how to exercise. What a great trainer she may be one day.

Huggies Sponsors Circle of Moms Facebook App - ClickZ

Huggies maker Kimberly-Clark is sponsoring the Circle of Moms Facebook app, which claims to reach more than 2 million women with information, advice, and interactive tools. The campaign was brought together by direct sales company Appssavvy and Kimberly-Clark agency Mindshare. Circle of Moms users who enter the site's new Huggies-sponsored "Baby Zone" will find an advice column, a mother-to-mother forum, age-specific information about diapers, and interactive tools such as a baby photo uploader. It also includes Huggies' "Enjoy the Ride Rewards" program, which offers the chance to win a year's worth of Huggies along with other prizes. To boost engagement, the site is issuing codes that can be used with the rewards program. A small startup with less than a dozen staff, Circle of Moms lacks the sales clout to reach out directly to Kimberly-Clark, according to an Appssavvy spokesperson. He added Appssavvy's team worked with its contacts at Mindshare to

Fun, fun and more fun

It is 8:35 pm and Caitlibug is still going strong. After an active afternoon with Grandma and Grandpa (who may be in bed after their playdate with Caitibug), a play at the beach where she soaked her dress, and then of course took off in her underwear... I guess we are just lucky she left them on - my little tiny nudest... we had a nice drive through Daybreak and home for dinner. She tells me on the way home, "We don't usually drive without shirts on mom." So - if you saw us be assured that this was a random act. I think it's funny how those in this family that have been really desiring life changes, are so getting them. Some good, and some bad. I think it's the leasons learned and the ability to take those lessons and move them into a great place. So... I think I will post a fun picture tomorrow. Fun, fun, fun.
